## About Us

![IMG_20250902_140321](https://starflowerranch.com/hubfs/IMG_20250902_140321.jpg "IMG_20250902_140321")

### This is the story of Starflower Ranch.

Jennifer Smith is a lifelong resident of Northern Colorado and the founder of Starflower Ranch. Her journey with horses began at a young age with her first horse, Starflower. This special mare wasn't just a companion but also Jennifer's first teacher, laying the foundation for a deep understanding of equine communication.

The bond with Starflower taught Jennifer to "speak horse"—a unique ability to understand and connect with horses on a deeper level. This intuitive communication became the guiding principle for her work.

After Starflower, Jennifer's connection to horses was reaffirmed with Myla, a mare who, like Starflower, was full of spirit and personality. Through Myla, Jennifer continues to refine her understanding of equine communication, learning how horses express their feelings, needs, and concerns.

This profound appreciation for the horse-human bond is the cornerstone of Starflower Ranch. The ranch is dedicated to honoring Starflower's legacy by teaching others how to build meaningful relationships with their horses through clear and respectful communication. Starflower Ranch strives to foster a world where horses are understood and loved for who they are.
